Labor Intensive Day

After sleeping in for a little while this morning and doing a whole lot of nothing till noon, our Labor Day was spent in just that...labor. A couple in our church had just moved into their new house that they just built, and we hadn't had a chance to help them out yet. So we went over to help them start moving things from their garage to rooms. We helped them get a good portion of the garage sorted out, but they still have a lot of work to do.

The couple is really a pretty cool pair, and we ended our time with them around their dining room table just shooting the breeze and laughing at a picture of Dan in high school. We also got a kick out of realizing that their 4 year old had been outside throwing things into a burn pile.

Then we made our way back home. I mowed the yard, while Jessica sowed on a pair of shorts that she's been making me. Then we started on putting up the Roman shades that Jessica had made for our sun room. The directions that she followed told her a couple of wrong things, so it's back to the drawing board on those shades. We'll get them fixed pretty quickly.
